Time’s ticking away and the thought of us losing existence Has got me worrying, will I ever find love again I don't think I could One month until you leave for good, a new life awaits you I don't wanna be without the chance, of being with you Oh we’ll never know, never know what could be Time has taken us for this ride But time has never been on our side Time’s in the way of my hopes and dreams turning into forever Pictures of the two of us, whole lives in front of us Living life as it should be Four life changing years, full of memories that will last forever Finding common ground, in this age to be found What we could, and could not be Time has taken us for this ride But time has never been on our side All I know is one thing, one thing’s never changed I've always loved you All I know is one thing, one thing will never change I’ll always want to be with you

Afterlife 04:44
Where do we go after we die? Will we return back to life? Or do we wait here forever? Just sit and wait… Or do we fade to nothingness? But do we know what nothing is? What is it like not to exist? What is it like?... Where do we go after we die? Will we ever see the light? We theorize but never know Until we go…

Legend in your hometown Known for givin’ the runaround Never lost the lost and found So free Second look in your neighborhood Always a step ahead if you could Keep them guessing about your mood We’ll see Lipstick women your heart keeps ticking Sharpened nails, they always keep diggin’ in Pony tail from a mile away You turned your head, you hid your face Our worlds should’ve collided by now There’s not much time left to find out If there’s a chance for happiness to bloom You’re happiest when you’re mad The sappiness you cannot stand You’d rather dig in than demand Some glee It will fester not disappear Some will pester out of fear Better not test that permanent sneer On me Lipstick women your heart keeps ticking Sharpened nails, they always keep diggin’ in Pony tail from a mile away You turned your head, you hid your face Our worlds should’ve collided by now There’s not much time left to find out If there’s a chance for happiness to bloom Just give up, give up talkin’ about it Just give up, give up walkin’ around it You want to block the, block the solve of it You want to lock it, lock me out of it Just give in, don’t make a stink of it Just give in, don’t even think of it You want to take it, take it to the brink of it You want to fake it, fake it not blink on it When the help is on their way You lock your door and you push them away Even if they’ll brighten your day Even if they’ll brighten Your lipstick women your heart keeps ticking Sharpened nails, they always keep diggin’ in Pony tail from a mile away You turned your head, you hid your face Our worlds should’ve collided by now There’s not much time left to find out If there’s a chance for happiness to bloom

Pillow Fight 02:51
Take a pillow into a before nice time And see how long it last Sooner or later, the line will slip a Sunday From the moment fading fast It's all in the formula of flight These feelings have subsided in this light Holding steady, I guess figurines are mundane The thought is not enough Port the need for the rising red star Only life won't keep you up It's all in the formula of flight These feelings have subsided in this light Turning on the feeling I said, what turns on, eventually must turn off Turning on the feeling You said, what can't be seen, never will be touched Take a pillow into a before nice time And see how long it last Sooner or later, the line will slip a Sunday From the moment fading fast It's all in the formula of flight These feelings have subsided in this light Turning on the feeling I said, what turns on, eventually must turn off Turning on the feeling You said, what can't be seen Never will be touched, no Never will be touched, no Never will be

I’d like to be castrated then I’d be immune to your charms The thought of being fellated wouldn’t hold me in thrall. She called the old man over They’d met on match.com Stepped out of his old Range Rover And walked up the lawn I wanted to let you know that I’m ok This phantasmal society, am I ok? I wanted to let you know that I'm ok Running on this make believe reality, but I'm ok The old man walked inside But she wasn’t alone Gun pressed into his thigh “Give me your phone.” I wanted to let you know that I’m ok This phantasmal society, am I ok? You should have known All of that time You should have known I’d leave you behind They couldn’t let him live So he had to die He thought that he found love The spider and fly I wanted to let you know that I'm ok Running on this make believe reality, but I'm ok You should have known All of that time You should have known I’d leave you behind

Black Lion 03:19
Tell me a secret Tell me something you don’t even know Tell me a story About the time you weren’t even there Tell me about that thing that you heard from someone You can’t even trust Tell me a secret Tell me something you don’t even know To be true To be brand new That’s confirmed by a few That’s approved only by you Tell your vicious soul those stories of the world that you control Tell your angry fold those stories of the swirl that turned you cold Tell those lies all the time and fly them on the flagpole Tell your vicious soul those stories of the swirl that turned you cold Of the world that’s lost your control Tell me a fable of something I’m not likely to hear From the table of the people who were actually there Tell me about that black lion that you let out of his cage Tell me you’re kidding Tell me you don’t even know it To be true To be brand new That’s confirmed by you That’s approved only by a few Tell your vicious soul those stories of the world that you control Tell your angry fold those stories of the swirl that turned you cold Tell those lies all the time and fly them on the flagpole Tell your vicious soul those stories of the swirl that turned you cold Of the world that’s lost your control Your cell phone keeps ringing A left of center tone That I’m singing About the world that’s lost your control

about

Transformation was recorded by Ben Hinn (of Troubadour Dali) at Mound Sound in University City, and was mastered by Carl Saff. It features songs written by each of the four current members of Aquitaine: guitarist Will Hildebrandt, bassist Dave Collett, lead guitarist Graham Day and drummer Bob McMahon. While Hildebrandt is the primary singer on the majority of the songs, both Collett and McMahon take turns on lead vocals. And here’s another fun fact: every member has at least one guitar solo on this record.

While we were working on Transformation over the past few years, St. Louis was going through its own turbulent transformation. And those changes we felt are reflected in these songs. But this record is more than just a sobering account of our hometown’s recent history. It’s filled with the hope for happier days to come.

From the opening bars of "The Morning Wakes" to the closing swell of "Supermoon," this album is meant to glisten off the Arch, revealing it to be not so much a gateway to pass through, but a big front door welcoming you to stay. “You wanna be the town where everybody’s wanting to live… This city’s what you want, you get what you put in.”

We hope you enjoy our new record.

about

Aquitaine St Louis, Missouri

What if Pulp and The Kinks shared a prison cell? Or if Ian Curtis fronted The Clash? Or if Johnny Marr sat in with The Who? Aquitaine has pondered these questions and answered them in the form of songs, since forming in St. Louis in the spring of 2011.
